QUEENSTOWN CENTRAL

The construction of the retail and hospitality town and shopping centre, is located on the fast exploding Frankton Flats in the Queenstown district of the South Island.

Stage One of the development involved four separate buildings. Each building is referred to as a block. This comprising of block A, B, C and D. Every block contains brand new retail, food & beverage stores. Block A is the hub of the Queenstown Central Shopping centre.  NZ mega retail store Kmart, was stage one and is the anchor tenant with additional retail shops and first floors used as office tenancies.

The Concrete and framing works was self performed by Dominion Constructors and labour staff. The precast panels for the project were manufactured on site in a temporary facility to deal with logistics and demand shortages.

The building was designed to refelct the magnificent natural landscape and to create a vibrant town square for visitors to the region and the locals.
