AECOM House is an 8 level premium commercial building on the eastern gateway to Auckland’s CBD and was completed in October 2012. Awarded 5 Star Green Star in office design and targeted for a 5 Star Green Star as built rating, this commercial building has already attracted an anchor tenant who selected this building over numerous others, due to its prime location, iconic design, efficient floor plates and operating methods.
As the main contractor, Dominion Constructors had to ensure the building would meet 5 Star Green Star As Built criteria. It was critical that we secured key subcontractors for the various design and build packages, as well as establish a collaborative environment where all subcontractors and staff understood their responsibilities, to ensure a best-for-project approach.
The project was completed on time to meet AECOM’s occupancy date. Dominion was also awarded the fit-out contract for the AECOM tenancy, which involved a substantial redesign to incorporate an internal stair between floors, as well as specialist features.
